Do you think some things are holier than others? That some aspects of this life are closer to the ultimate Truth than others?
I can hear the angels laughing.
Everything we perceive is an illusion, an invention, a non-truth. Truth cannot be told, or perceived. Everything that can be perceived has its opposite therefore it cannot be absolute truth. The only absolute truth is what has no opposites or variations; therefore it cannot be named or perceived. We are living in a world of a certain space-time dimension, where things can be perceived and named. These things, the elements of this world cannot impact what is eternally within the void of no space/no time: the only absolute truth.
A tree, a bird, a panther, a memory, a thirst, your lovability, you (your very existence)… those are words, they have opposites, or variations, they are never absolute. And so they are ALL holy and true.
There are therefore no illusions that are truer than others. It is not absolutely truer or holier or better to go into nature than to stay in the city, to use a bike than to use a fuel gassed car, to listen to 432Hz music than 440Hz music, to be me than to be you or the other way around… for the invention of morality, maybe, for the spiritual egos out there - which I catch myself being often, don't get me wrong - sure. The mind has indeed invented that notion that some things are moral and others aren’t. That certain things are better than others, holier than others.
But guess what? That is precisely what keeps us stuck in a loop where those so called “amoral” things keep existing. Isn’t it fun? I suggest you read that again.
Everything has its right place for one person at one certain moment, and it can be completely different in the next. Yes nature holds codes that the city doesn't, yes certain areas of the earth have high frequencies that facilitate our inner connection and shifts into higher frequencies, yes, AND, nobody gets to tell you what is truer for you in this now. Only you can decide that.
None of those things are ultimately better as an absolute, for it is all an illusion.
I remember meeting a channel shaman up in Malibu, a fun guy from royal Indian lineage, he would provide channelings and healing ceremonies for people, I experienced my first psychedelic journey with his guidance. I remember having a moment on his patio floor, covered in synthetic lawn, and I said “it’s fake”. He answered: so what? You’re fake, I'm fake, everything is fake!”
I had just gone to the end of time-space and back, remembering unity, witnessing the magic of the Everything, the fractal beauty and atrocity of life, and the cosmic joke this all was. In that moment, I totally agreed with his statement.
As humans, with our human minds, we get so lost in the concept of right and wrong, good and bad. It seems to give us references, a ground to feel safe on, but really it just loses us more than ever. It keeps us trapped in a game that we hate for part of what it is (the “wrong” half).
We are only here for the very experience of transcending this duality.
That IS the game: managing to transcend it, to accept it all, to surrender to the wave no matter where we are on it: up or down or anywhere in between. Those who have experienced the worst have understood that, and usually lose their “normal” friends because of that. In the most beautiful cases, they manage to find their alchemy story and tell it to the world in sheer generosity.
And guess what, even that is not a goal to achieve, because we’re already there, we’re just playing the remembering game. Even transcending/not transcending doesn’t matter, isn’t better than the other. We’re all exactly where we’re supposed to be on our path to rememberance.
Are you aware of where you’ve been buying into the belief that certain parts of the illusion are better than others? Don’t worry, we all do, it’s part of our programming. It’s there on purpose for the sake of our challenge of transcending it.
Of course, there is pain, abuse manipulation, some extremely dark stuff going on. It sure isn’t all rainbows and roses.
But a rainbow doesn’t appear without rain,
and there are thorns on the rose stem.
They are needed in this realm.
They have a purpose, even them.
Maybe, now that we’ve tried thousands of years hating those parts of humanity, we have the strength to start facing them fully, and acknowledging their presence, our feelings arising.
Maybe now we can start the process of alchemizing.
Maybe we can start realizing that even that darkness can’t touch the eternal beauty and light that the only truth holds.
Maybe we can hold some space in our hearts to heal them back into re-member-ance.
For those are just lost parts we actually came down here to meet again, and reunite with.
The longer we wait, the darker the night.
And it doesn’t matter, cause we’re already there.
Rafaëlle Cohen.
